“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you” - Maya Angelo
Sometimes the million little paper-cuts of life add up. Relationships feel challenging, coping mechanisms aren’t helping, and you find yourself disillusioned and disconnected. You may be dealing with a difficult marriage, anger and resentment, hurting from a wounded faith journey, relentless anxiety, unprocessed grief, feeling like you're stuck, or struggling with unspoken shadows of the past. You're wondering if it will ever get better. As a fellow traveler, I get it.
Your story makes sense. You have strengths that are hard to touch right now. We can make sense of what doesn’t make sense by exploring how your past impacts your present and building new paths for becoming alive to your life in ways that feel authentic. You are made to become one-of-a-kind and you don't have to figure it out alone.
All those letters just mean I’ve received the required training to see clients as a licensed counselor. What they don’t show are the years of personal heart work I’ve engaged that I also bring into our therapeutic work together. “You can’t take someone where you yourself have not gone,” is a phrase I’ve taken to heart with ongoing training and personal work.
This is a collaborative journey. I’m going to come alongside you as you share your story, feelings, and experiences with me. I will engage our work with compassion and curiosity. I will offer connections and insights. As you bring your heart to the room, we’ll work together to recover what makes you one-of-a-kind so that you can engage your life with greater insight and wholeness.
My integrative approach uses psychodynamic, narrative, attachment, somatic, and strength-based frameworks. I believe mental health is influenced by the whole person (mind, body, spirit) so I’m able to incorporate faith/spirituality and nutritionally integrative (gut health/brain health) approaches if either of those feel supportive to you.
Trauma can be one big event or a “million tiny paper cuts” that cause repeated harm over a long period of time. These can be invisible and unknown until you’re faced with relational patterns and emotional triggers as an adult that get in the way of living well. I work (mostly with women) with kindness and compassion, trusting your expertise of you while offering curiosity and insight around what you share.
I work with couples who are hitting relational roadblocks, have drifted from the companionship they once had, struggle with unrelenting conflict, or just need a relational tuneup. I incorporate concepts and tools from the Gottman Method of couples counseling. We also explore each partner’s story to help deepen understanding and break through harmful relational patterns to restore trust, commitment, and friendship.
I have a vision for offering a group experience for women to work through identity with creative expression. Over several weeks, women will make their own journal with creative and reflective exercises built within as we dive deep into how your story of past impacts your story of present. What makes you one-of-a-kind and who are you becoming? The details and logistics should be available for a Spring 2025 group.
Start by scheduling a free virtual consult using the link below. The purpose of this is to briefly identify what you need from counseling, to make sure I am a good fit, and to discern if our schedules match.
When we schedule your first session, I will send you “Intake” paperwork through your client portal to be completed in advance.
Additionally, I will send you a welcome email with more details regarding in-person or virtual instructions. Sessions last 50 minutes.
I am seeing clients in-person in Fort Collins, CO, and virtually for anyone residing in Colorado.
At this time, I am only able to provide counseling to those living in the state of Colorado.

My rate for a 50 minute appointment is $150. All services are self-pay. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask us, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059. To receive a Good Faith Estimate from me please use the contact form under the "Contact" tab and specifically ask for a Good Faith Estimate of Services.
I am an out-of-network (OON) provider for all insurances. If you would like to use your out of network benefits for counseling, please call your insurance company directly and ask about your "out of network coverage for a licensed professional counselor." They can explain your coverage. If it applies, I will gladly provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
