paintball.

My son has been asking to go paintballing for a year. Of course it’s something that has always eluded him due to the expense – but several months ago – my Groupon email presented me with this awesome deal for two players that I couldn’t pass up. It was about the same amount that I would have spent on a little birthday party for him and so … his dream of paintballing with a buddy came true.

They had the entire place to themselves for their first three games … shooting each other – making a hit – limping around for a few minutes – comparing wounds – and then going back at it until they ran out of ammo. 

This is the before shot … all geared up and ready to go. The advice they were given was … if you want to remain friends after the games … make sure you’re not two feet away when you’re shooting. It hurts more the closer together you are. As it turns out they were bruised from even 50 feet!

They were covered in paint slime. Ew.

This is where things got interesting. 3 BIG guys and 2 girls came in to play. The boys were a bundle of nerves yet pumped to have some other’s to play against. One said “I’m glad I went to the bathroom ahead of time!” The other walked by me and said “Help me!” under his breath. HA! The boys looked SO little next to these big guys … They had a blast …

Out of ammo … time for a re-fill!

Another hit in the eye … this time it went through the mask!! 

Hunter says it was the best birthday party ever.All it takes is a best friend and the rush of shooting. Good times!  Love the boys! Next time … maybe I’ll get out there with them!
