the blanket

This is by far my most ambitious crochet project to date. Learning to crochet has been like learning a new language. It’s fun. It’s easier than knitting. It’s quick and gratifying. I am in love with this blanket and thought I would take a stab at making one for myself! I will love love love this when it’s complete … in about a year. I also found this lovely little flickr group …. so so inspiring! You have to go look at it. I especially love the color against the white.

I have 21 squares done and I’ve got roughly … 140 to go. I can’t wait to show it to you wrapped around one of my little family members next winter. Here’s to one sc {single crochet} and several dc {double crochet} at a time … a little bit like life … the little pieces and the daily choices we make become a big beautiful masterpiece one stitch at a time. But … it’s a process and it takes time.
