Looks like I’m getting behind in my photo project! I’ll have to double up this week to catch up …
I always love seeing pictures of artists at work in the magazines and art blogs … so … here’s another of this artist at work in my little chaotic corner of our bedroom.

Oh how I wish for a whole sunny room of my own – it’s so hard to find a space bigger than the size of my hand to work in. But … where there’s a will there’s a way – us artists … we just work on top of stuff. And then we call the dried glue and drops of paint a new foundation for another work. Would you believe I get inspired by dried glue? I do. It seems the creative flow is on overdrive lately. It’s almost annoying! Anyway, as a result of the overflow of the creative juices I’ve started many many projects and not really completed any of them – I’m sure it’s defined as creative ADD. Part of what’s so satisfying as a creative is completing a project and being satisfied with the process and the ability to utilize the piece once finished. This little planner has been in the works for about a month. I saw it completed by this artist here. Which then led me to the guts of it here. I’ve finished my own little handmade planner at the sitting you see above and completed below:

Isn’t that cute? Maybe next year I’ll get more creative with the binding technique – I dug out one of my many bookbinding books {I was in a handbound-journal-making phase about 4 years ago} and retaught myself how to stitch folios and signatures together into a bound book. I’m excited to have this new sketchbook/planner in my life now … one of my goals this year was to improve my drawing. A multi-tasking planner. Nice. Now … back to that crochet blanket – and the crocheted summer bag – and the painting for my living room – and the baby hats – and the graffiti in the boys’ room – and the …… must.go.complete.something.
