I decided there is one rule to this little 52 self-portraits-in-a-year project … I have to be the one that takes the picture … it wouldn’t be a self portrait if I didn’t take it now would it? I’m allowed to use a tripod if I choose to drag that thing out and I can use my timer and remote shutter release, but … I’ve framed it, composed it, etc, etc. These are true self portraits. So, there you have it. One rule – I think I can handle one rule. That said … I did drag the tripod out for this one.

I’m working on a painting for Kiana’s room … I’ll do a reveal later – I’m not ready yet – it was a lot of space to fill and difficult to do a large scale painting … but it’s coming along … slowly.

love the self portrait exercise…i did it for a while last year till Ben started teasing me about all the photos of myself. haha…i thought it evened up all the photos i take of him on vacations and such.
…maybe i should start it up again too and we can do it together?? next time i come visit (or when you come THIS spring) will you give me a photography lesson?? i need hands on teaching by a pro
btw…when do you want to come????
